Ricola

From extraction to contribution, boring to fun.

Over the years, I've had the honor of working with exceptional clients, whose collaboration has shaped my professional growth and enriched my creative journey. From renowned brands to trailblazing startups, my portfolio showcases a diverse range of clients across various industries.

Summary

Our client Ricola wanted us to bridge the digital divide and build something interactive. To help initiate the shift from a small player to a global brand. From extraction to contribution and from family to professionally operated. To confidently communicate Ricolas sustainability goals to the real world. The sustainability work they aren’t recognized for but also their communication and anchoring internally at Ricola.

The problem was that the 28 original pages of PDF were simply too boring to read. This leads to that a lot of the pages don’t get read at all. Boring into fun, 28 pages of a PDF into something interactive, something alive, that also worked for the target group which in this case was “all Ricola employees” (20-70 years old).

What started as: “How might we get people to read all of this information?”Developed into: “Can we get people to believe that Ricola works a lot with sustainability without them having to read what they do?”

Ricola World

During live tests we realised that older people had very minor navigational issues. Adding a small avatar, resembling the VP of Future Innovation of Ricola added the support that was missing.

The avatar could’ve helped with instructions and navigation. But for the project we added a video introduction to the world from the Vice President of Future Innovation himself.

“Wow, this is amazing! You’ve absolutely nailed this project. You’ve understood what doesn’t work and how to conquer these issues. The world is super fun and you catch the necessary parts of what’s needed. Professionally presented and great communication throughout your work.”
