Creating assets for the 2023 lineup

Samsung is one of the largest brands, in the world. However, despite its stature, choosing the right television from Samsung's extensive product range can be a though experience for consumers.

Background

Every year, Samsung introduces a new lineup of TVs and soundbars, both pushing the boundaries of innovation. However, this year presented a unique opportunity to address one of Samsung's key challenges in selling TVs. Differentiation. The goal was to make each TV in the 2023 lineup distinct and appealing.

My role

I was responsible for everything from research, design, presentation, maintaining the designsystem I set up, adapting the assets to the different retailers websites and structuring up deliveries for over 2000 unique assets to five markets. By my side, I had the support from a project lead and graphic designers.

Badges like these where made in close collaboration with graphic designers.

Process

Based on our research, statistics and ghost shopping, this year presented us with the opportunity to find new ways to showcase Samsung new TV and Soundbar lineup.

One opportunity area we discovered was that customers looking for new TVs had recognized that reading and learning about brand specific features was confusing for their potential purchase.

Another behaviour found amongst consumers was that a lot of their research when buying TVs happens on third party forums for example Community pages, YouTube and TikTok.

We’ve tried to give easier and earlier information about specific features and unique selling points for every single TV.
